Mission Statement

Our mission is to cultivate an interest in molecular biology for young students who may not realize their untapped potential. Science is valuable, both in society and education, and we strive  to highlight this importance through  interactive experiences led by  undergraduate Genetics/Biochemistry students from Clemson University. Through this program students will participate in ongoing research at Clemson University

Vision Statement

Our vision aims to remove the intimidation from molecular biology by showing that with a little ambition, some intrigue, and a lot of hard work, a future in the sciences can become reality. We want to prove to high school students that science is more than a required class, and that it can be exciting, interesting, and something on which to build a future

Projects

Our organization works closely with the instructors at the schools we visit to ensure that the material that we bring to them is aligned with their curriculum.  We engage the students in interactive projects and experiments in the hopes of presenting the information in a fun and innovative way.   Each of our visits involves projects that are specifically tailored to reinforce what they are learning in class and to garner an interest in science.  Oftentimes we offer additional information about possible careers in science, non traditional futures in science, and our experiences with college.
